The Arc of the Night
The night begins with rhythm, percussions of Nashik Dhol, an experience Rajkot has never had before.
Devotion first. The evening opens in prayer, before a single circle begins to move.
Traditional Melodies by Rajesh Ahir and Dhwani Parekh lead the circles as they gather around the flame.
Rhythm meets fire. Artists from Jamnagar dance above the flames, a sight rare to witness and even rarer to join.
For the first time in Rajkot, the spirit of Garba meets a new generation of sound and light creating a culture of its own.
